Job Summary and Qualifications
JOB SUMMARY
This position is a consulting level Data Integration Engineering position who will report directly to the Data Implementation and External Integration Manager at HealthTrust.
A successful candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of data integration technology, data application architecture design, data and process modeling, secure programming principles, test-driven development or another unit testing methodology, and advanced coding practices. This position requires a candidate who can analyze business requirements, perform design tasks, construct, test, and implement solutions without direct supervision.
This candidate will demonstrate experience in a fast-paced, mixed team (consultant and employee) environment. In addition, the applicant must be willing to mentor other engineers to prepare them for assuming the responsibilities of a Consulting Integration Engineer.
The Consulting Data Integration Engineer will be required to learn about existing operational systems and provide on-going technical support for both existing and new solutions. The Consulting Data Integration Engineer will work with management to develop systems into the latest platform/environment and be responsible for executing those plans, within scope and timeframe. The applicant will provide high-level support for existing solutions within a group and may rotate production on-call/off-hours responsibilities.
The Consulting Data Integration Engineer must be a highly motivated self-starter, an enthusiastic learner, and must be committed to delivering high quality solutions within scheduled timelines.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE
7-10 years of relevant working experience. Key desired experience includes the following:
Experience with integration technologies such as IBM DataPower, CorePoint or Mirth
Experience with MQ management in addition to MQ FTE administration
Experience working with requirements, modeling cases, and business processes
Expert in Database design, development, and stewardship
Technical documentation and best practices
Proven Iterative product development experience
Expert in Data integration design, development, and stewardship
Experience with application development and service-oriented architecture
Expert in Extraction Transformation and Load (ETL) technologies
Experience working within cross-functional teams
Strong written and verbal communication
Experience interfacing with internal stakeholders

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field Preferred

Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Contributes in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of data models to support customer requirements
Contributes in the development of specifications for the bidirectional movement of data between source system and the warehouse to support the reporting solution (if appropriate)
Participates in the Extraction Transformation and Load (ETL) data validation process
Supports the use of fault-tolerant, high-performance, and multi-parallel algorithms for data processing, and for delivering data streams to drive a wide range of reports
Supports the use of optimal logical and physical data models for satisfying the needs of a large and growing number of customers’ needs
Leverages an optimal network of processes to produce the required data deliverables
Participates in interfaces with various business users to understand requirements for data capture and processing and dimensional modeling
Contributes in production loads and oversees root cause analysis for all load failures
Supports performance tuning and troubleshooting for existing ETL processes in support of clients
Participates in the design and implementation of MDM, ODS, and Analytical Databases
Understands technology option discussions and decisions for a product
Contributes to the development of implementation documentation and troubleshooting guides
Participates in lean agile software development practices
Takes a component-centric view in developing product architecture documentation, its implementation and troubleshooting guides
Monitors unit testing of products and reviews technical product and implementation guides
Participates in code reviews and product documentation
Helps lead cross-functional teams
Demonstrates drive to take on assigned tasks and volunteers to take on additional responsibility
Contributes to the deployment, change, configuration, management, administration and maintenance of deployment process and systems
