We are seeking a passionate and experienced Consent & Privacy Advocate to join our global Technology team. This role will be a key liaison between the Technology department and our central Consent and Privacy organizations, ensuring our technology solutions comply with all relevant privacy regulations and best practices across all regions. You will play a crucial role in shaping our company's approach to data privacy, working collaboratively with various internal teams and stakeholders.

What you'll do...

  • Champion data privacy within the global Technology department: You will be a strong advocate for privacy-by-design principles, promoting best practices and providing guidance to development teams and other technical staff across all locations.

  • Provide technical expertise to central Consent and Privacy teams: You will work closely with our central OGC and Privacy teams, providing input and feedback on policies, procedures, and technical implementations. This includes translating complex privacy regulations into actionable guidance for technical teams across different regions.

  • Drive strategic vision and roadmaps . Utilize vison documents and roadmaps to create alignment across the different product groups to gain alignment and consistency of implementations

  • Partner with business customers to integrate consent and privacy into technology solutions: You will work closely with business units to understand their needs and ensure that consent and privacy considerations are embedded in the development and deployment of technology solutions. This includes facilitating discussions, providing guidance, and ensuring alignment with global privacy policies.

  • Collaborate with local teams on data privacy issues: You will work with product managers, engineers, and other teams across different regions to ensure their projects comply with privacy requirements. This includes reviewing code, providing technical advice, and conducting data privacy impact assessments (DPIAs).

  • Stay informed about evolving privacy regulations and best practices: You will actively monitor changes in data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and industry standards, translating these developments into actionable guidance for the Technology department across all regions.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of global data governance frameworks: You will work with stakeholders to define data ownership, access controls, and data retention policies, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with privacy requirements across different regions.

  • Assist with incident response and breach notification: You will play a role in responding to data privacy incidents, working with other teams to investigate, contain, and mitigate potential harm across all locations.

You'll have…

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, information technology, privacy) or a combination of education and experience

  • 5+ years of proven experience in data privacy and compliance, with a strong understanding of technical aspects.

  • Strong understanding of global data privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant laws.

  • Experience with data privacy impact assessments (DPIAs) and data subject requests (DSRs) within a technical context.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences across different cultures.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with diverse stakeholders across multiple regions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a global environment.

  • Certification in data privacy (e.g., CIPP, CIPT).

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment with a global reach.

  • Experience with cloud computing and data security best practices.

  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
