HarperCollins Publishers Account Manager - Spanish Online Sales in Nashville, Tennessee

Overview

Harper Collins Christian Publishing is seeking a professional salesperson with a solid working knowledge of e-commerce and e-commerce sales strategies to work as an Account Manager as a part of the Export Sales channel. This channel is very fast paced and ever changing, making for a vibrant and collaborative team.

This position will be responsible for working with online retailers in all markets for our Spanish language imprints. The ideal applicant will be someone with a strong background in selling to key national accounts, excellent follow through skills and the ability to give high level presentations for all Spanish language product groups to include (but not limited to) Adult and Childrens Trade, Bibles, and Academic.

This is a hybrid position based out of our Nashville office.

Responsibilities

  • Direct responsibility for Amazon.mx, Buscalibre, and other online retailers in Latin Am, and MX.

  • Liaise with other sales channels as product expert for Spanish language product group, including but not limited to Amazon.com, Christian Book, and other Amazon international entities.

  • Achieve revenue and profit goals for assigned accounts.

  • Develop creative promotional ideas and custom product ideas that help drive sales and generate revenue.

  • Sales presentations to individuals and teams focusing on actionable, strategic goals.

  • Provide analysis, input, and feedback on all matters related to the assigned accounts, including but not limited to:

  • Assign sales projections for new book proposals.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to availability, pricing, and metadata for assigned accounts.

  • Provide publishers with consistent and accurate feedback.

  • Identify promotional opportunities for all assigned accounts.

  • Provide sales analysis to various internal stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with all key account stakeholders.

  • Work interdepartmentally to assist in achieving corporate objectives and goals including but not limited to assisting with .com strategies for other online retail accounts that fall under other sales channels.

  • Actively participate in internal meetings with the publishing/marketing groups to provide market feedback.

  • Effectively manage your assigned expense budgets.

  • The Export channel is in a constant state of change and responsibilities may change over time to best address the needs of the market.

Qualifications

Bi-lingual: Must be fluent in verbal and written communication in both Spanish and English.

Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of successful sales experience. Experience working with online retailers such as Amazon is strongly preferred but not required.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or equivalent work experience preferred.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with online bookstore accounts; understanding of basic business and retail finance; knowledge of publishing industry preferred.
