Plant Engineering Facilities Mechanic III role will be maintenance of infrastructure and services supporting BAE s (NCA) Downtown Nashua Facility located in Nashua New Hampshire.
The NCA facility sits in downtown Nashua and is comprised of approximately 680,000 square feet of space supporting various internal businesses and functions. This role provides opportunity to work in a large multifaceted facilities organization as well as offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
The successful candidate will be part of a Plant Engineering Team that maintains and operates building infrastructure consisting of a variety of industrial spaces. These include Office Areas, Closed DoD Space, and R&D Specialty Labs. This role will report directly to one of the Plant Engineering Site Supervisors/Manager.
A successful candidate must be self-motivated and capable of working in a collaborative environment with strong communication skills and knowledge of industrial processes and building operations. While BAE systems is looking for someone with the following responsibilities, we are open to a full range of skill sets and levels of experience.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Support space planning; moves, adds & changes.
Responsible for coordinating and executing personnel moves as needed.
Operates forklift or hand trucks as required to move supplies.
Installs, moves and removes a variety of light, medium and heavy equipment using special tools and equipment such as staging, hoists and rigging. Erects and secures staging, hoists and rigging in compliance with codes and safety practices.
Installs, maintains and dismantles a wide variety of facility equipment. Must be capable of working from blueprints, equipment drawings, schematics and manufactures specification and literature.
Works independently with limited instruction to complete assignments, renovations, fit-ups or repairs. Must be capable of performing periodic maintenance inspection on all types of facilities infrastructure and equipment.
Must have a great customer service demeanor and be capable of working with outside contractors and vendors.
Interfaces with local project management, plant engineering, and contractor to obtain, furnish, and/or exchange information as necessary for efficient and effective completion of required project tasks.

May be required to participate on special teams including but not limited to: snow removal, emergency response and must be responsive to off-hour emergencies

Support Sustainability and energy management initiatives
Required to participate in an on-call rotational roster to support off hour emergencies
Must be able to operate within a computerized maintenance work order system. Qualitied candidate must be able to log work performed, provide a brief explanation of the problem and summarize what was replaced and or repaired
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School diploma, or GED, and at least two (2) years of general maintenance experience.
Must have the ability to walk, bend, stoop, balance, crawl and reach for extended periods of time.
Must be comfortable with and capable of occasionally working at heights.
Requires indoor as well as outdoor work in varying temperatures and weather.
May be required to lift at least 50 pounds.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $56195 - $89912
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
