The Warehouse Supervisor oversees all warehouse operations as a hands-on leader, serving and motivating warehouse employees, leading by example, and fostering a positive team-building atmosphere. The candidate will supervise and continuously improve all inbound, outbound, and internal inventory movement. Duties & Responsibilities: Supervision, training, and direct assistance of warehouse operations which include, but not limited to, loading/unloading, receiving, shipping, sorting, put away, picking, and inventory control. Leading by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed. Drive an efficient and motivated workforce by providing effective coaching, feedback, and encouragement. Maintain accurate inventory levels by leading regular physical counts with warehouse teams and reconcile discrepancies with the warehouse inventory system. Maintaining good housekeeping practice. Ensure a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and adhering to standard operational procedures. Warehouse Supervisors ensure that production and daily warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently. A Warehouse Supervisor job candidate should possess the following prerequisite skills and qualifications to successfully perform the duties involved in the role: Qualifications & Skills: Effective communication, interpersonal skill, leadership, and conflict resolution Strong knowledge of modern warehousing practices and methods Critical thinking ability and a proactive approach to problem solving to handle production issues. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and inventory management Ability to delegate when assigning employee workloads. Clear knowledge of warehouse operations Proficiency in inventory software Ability to remain stationary for extended periods when working on the warehouse floor.
