FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

This position is located in Napoleon, Ohio and is a brownfield plant start-up. The facility will be a Dana final assembly plant for the Ford Bronco and Ranger products.

Currently only hiring for 2nd shift (3pm - 11pm) Material Handlers. $18/hour plus shift premium

Responsibilities:

  • Transport Materials and inventory - Load, unload, pick, put away, consolidate, stack and stage products and materials using a forklift, pallet jack, tugger, turret or other power equipment in accordance with FIFO policy.
  • Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies
  • Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.
  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
  • Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule.
  • Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
  • Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.
  • Conduct cycle counts, which includes verifying accuracy of quantity of materials
  • Load finished goods for shipment to customers with industrial truck / material handling equipment
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of standing & walking
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be willing to operate all power equipment utilized within the Materials department
