Job Summary

Summary: Provide professional, warm, hospitable service to all residents through menu knowledge, teamwork, upselling, and consistent execution of service steps. Set the example of service standards by overseeing multiple sections of the dining room floor, ensuring flawless execution by the service team. Assist in training incoming team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

o Inspect dining room, table settings, chairs, floors, proper maintenance, cleanliness, and safety. Ensure the dining room is correctly set up before and after the service period. Promptly address complaints or issues, relay relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor.

o Maintain communication and actively support Manager or Supervisor. Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly, and special requests are accommodated. Remain flexible and patient when communicating with residents and staff.

o Work directly with Host to consistently update notes in resident database.

o Must demonstrate a sincere and accommodating disposition towards all residents. Great and welcome while receiving a high level of service.

o Participate in daily service pre-shift meetings as an active listener, ready to take notes on specials, menu changes, and key service items for the day.

o Possess detailed knowledge of wine and spirits selections and ability to express knowledge tableside. Actively assist in bottled wine selection and service.

o Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients. Advise residents on appropriate combinations of food and drinks; Accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences. As needed, demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens.

o Assist in training all incoming service team members on expectations and high-level service standards. Work with team members to develop and cross train existing team members and promote growth opportunities in the space.

o Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding shared personal or medical information.

o Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.

o Serve guests their desired entrees in a friendly, efficient manner roughly 50% of the time.

o Maintain a fantastic dining experience. Check on guests periodically throughout their meals and attend to their needs.

o Performs other duties as assigned.
