Position Summary:

The Department of Biology in the College of Arts and Sciences at North Central Collegeinvites applications from broadly trained vertebrate physiologists for a tenure-trackposition to begin Fall 2025. Appointment at the rank of assistant professor is likely, butqualified candidates may be considered for a higher rank. Teaching responsibilities willinclude an advanced course in the candidate’s area of specialty, direction of andparticipation in anatomy and physiology courses for biology and pre-health students,and teaching introductory and capstone courses in our innovative curriculum.

Qualifications: PhD in physiology or a related field; postdoctoral experience stronglydesired. Applicants should have demonstrated potential for excellence inundergraduate teaching and mentoring and commitment to developing an activeresearch program engaging undergraduate students.
