Description:

80hrs per pp day shift variable, weekends and holidays scheduled in accordance with CBA.

Requirements

  • Completion of American Registry of Radiographic Technologists (ARRT) approved Radiologic Technology program.

  • Current ARRT registry required within 6 months of the date of hire

  • Must maintain continuing education credits per biennium to retain registry status in compliance with the CE requirements of their certifying organization for the imaging modality in which they perform services.

  • Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire.

  • New grad’s are welcome to apply!

  • Preferred: Two years of experience as a Registered radiographer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Performs a wide variety of diagnostic examinations which results in the production of diagnostic radiographs.

  • Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking x-rays following established procedures.

  • Follows prescribed safety standards in operating radiographic equipment.

  • Assists radiologists in performing routine and/or special procedures. Administers specific contrast and barium solutions as directed by the Radiologist or other physician in accordance with established guidelines.

  • Provides instruction to x-ray students.

  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the needs of the age group served.
