Job Title: Production Scheduler Location: Muskegon, MI (on-site) Shift: Monday- Friday, 1st shift hours

Job Overview: The Production Scheduler is an important member of our manufacturing team!This rolemanages the production scheduling and all related functions, specified raw materials, using all available scheduling tools and resources to efficiently utilize plant resources consistent with forecasts and customer service objectives. Analyzes, plans, and schedules production requirements to meet customer demand and inventory levels while balancing plant capacity.

Job Duties:

Acts as primary liaison between sales forecasting, production, purchasing, production control, technical, operations, and maintenance to efficiently manage the master production schedule for the Muskegon site, assuring the continuous supply and timely delivery of product to the customer. Establish and maintain strong and collaborative customer relationships. Ensure all necessary requirements for the replenishment of materials/inventory levels are properly planned. Analyze MIP system generated demand requirements and develop production plan based on plant capacity and customer requirements. Plan and schedule workflow for each work center and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times. Coordinate balance between production requirements and equipment availability due to planned and unplanned mechanical shutdowns/plant disruptions. Works closely with Procurement/Purchasing to manage stock/raw materials delivery to ensure it meets production needs and customer requirements. Maintains packaging requirements and issues packaging instructions for all products. Aid in the development of plans with the technical group to prioritize testing of WIP and finished goods, issuing of blends, work off off-quality materials, and in scheduling new product/process trials to minimize impact on production. Other duties as assigned including physical inventory tag control.

Required Education and Experience: Associate's degree in business; or 5 years' experience in a Production Control environment working with inventory control, material resource planning and/or enterprise-wide production planning. APICS certification a plus. MS Office experience including Advanced Excel. SAP knowledge preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact courteously with internal and external customers while ensuring interaction is clear and direct. Strong ability to assess a problem and promptly resolve or escalate it to management. Ability to work under pressure and within schedules to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Capable of being entrusted with confidential information.
