POSITION SUMMARY: The Student Program Specialist (K-12) will support the growth of Tidelands Health Student and Volunteer Program through the facilitation and assistance of programs with students, faculty and community members on and offsite. While supporting K-12 experiences, events and programs including the Tidelands Health Scholars program that provides an educational pathway that connects to the workforce. The Student Program Specialist will engage with students to assist with the talent pipeline for future needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Coordinate and assist with student education rotations and events on and offsite.
Attend community events and engage with community partners.
Assist with recruitment and retention efforts for students and volunteers
Facilitate and attend special events involving students and volunteers
Onboard students for onsite educational experiences
Track and maintain students and volunteer information
Develop and maintain relationships with K-12 educators to promote Health Care as a career option and Tidelands Health as a partner
Support Tidelands Health scholars’ program
Assists with HR staff and general HR department activities
REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
EXPERIENCE : 1-2 years of experience in healthcare, hospitality, or volunteer coordination required.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES :
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with students, colleagues, community members, required.
Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail, required.
Ability to work independently on assigned projects to completion, required.
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, required.
Must have reliable transportation
