Position Summary: Responsible for providing a full range of therapeutic services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position’s qualification, professional practices and ethical standards. The incumbent shall also demonstrate accountability for the contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion. The employee may have job functions where they will handle and deliver medications based on the requirements of their job in the assigned work facility. The employee will complete other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
Perform documentation by clinical / department guidelines and meet expectations of monthly department chart audits.
Consistently documents objective and functional measures to justify patient plan of cares.
Promote / educate NextStep Rehabilitation programs to referring physicians and healthcare providers
Therapist will proactively impact his or her cancel / no show percentage as it relates to improving quality care and patient outcomes
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education / Experience:
- Associates Degree and from an accredited therapy program and performed the required clinical internships satisfactorily required
Licensure:
Physical Therapy Assistant licensed by the state of South Carolina Board required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
ACLS preferred
Special Skills:
- Ability to utilize therapy equipment an outpatient rehabilitation setting to provide treatment and procedures preferred.
Physical Requirements: PAT Rating: Medium / Heavy: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) required to stand, sit, and walk; occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear. The employee must exert 35 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 15 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
