Intermountain Health Tumor Conference Coordinator in Murray, Utah

Job Description:

The Tumor Conference Coordinator provides and oversees a full range of clerical and specialized administrative functions pertaining to the Oncology Clinical Program's tumor conference. This position has a primary responsibility to provide administrative support and coordination for weekly, disease-specific tumor conferences.

Job Essentials

  1. Provides administrative support for tumor conference meetings including preparing agendas with input from physicians, reserving rooms, sending appointments, coordinating catering, recording and distributing minutes. Sets up and trouble shoots phone, video, and web conferencing.

  2. Compiles abstracts and collates data from necessary diverse sources, including obtaining any outside information that is useful and pertinent for patient presentation including radiologic and pathologic exams.

  3. Enters patient data into computer database. Enters data into website for oncology tumor conferences.

  4. Provides staff support to site-specific cancer conferences.

  5. Monitors quality including maintaining spreadsheets and collecting data for Standard 1.7 of the Commission on Cancer (CoC) requirements.

  6. Maintains Continuing Medical Education (CME) eligibility with the CME office. Follows all protocols and regulations regarding CME. Maintains a current application with CME office and renews every three years.

  7. Tracks and maintains documents. Submits copies of attendance, flyers, checklists and master badge scanner of tumor conferences to CME office weekly.

  8. May have contact with healthcare organizations or individuals from outside the company for tumor conference coordination purposes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Four years of experience working in an administrative assistant position with keyboarding, data entry, and meeting coordination responsibilities.

  • Experience supporting service line directors, managers, or physicians.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including proficiency in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and other English language skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a healthcare setting.

Medical terminology experience.

Physical Requirements:

Interact with others requiring employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information.

Operate computers, telephones, office equipment, including manipulating paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$21.20 - $32.26
