Intermountain Health PRN Certified Nurse Midwife in Murray, Utah

About this role:

The PRN Certified Nurse Midwife will join Intermountain Nurse Midwives, serving patients at Intermountain Medical Center and LDS Hospital both located in Salt Lake County, Utah. We are a large thriving midwifery practice, providing comprehensive health care for women, with a particular emphasis on wellness and patient choice. We support women in their childbirth decisions, whether it’s an unmedicated birth or epidural anesthesia.

This CNM will provide both gynecologic & OB patient care in clinic, attend births, and round with mother/baby and antepartum patients in hospital. Our CNMs work at the top of their scope of licensure, admitting, caring for, and discharging patients from inpatient care. As a group practice sharing patients, we work in a highly collaborative model, consulting and collaborating with one another on a consistent basis.

This is a PRN opportunity, with shifts varying dependent on patient care, department needs, and the CNM's interest and availability, with current needs anticipated especially in March and April 2025. The position will require some weekdays and weekends, days and nights. The CNM may also be requested to support rotating after-hours, weekend, and holiday call time. When taking inpatient duty, the CNM will be expected to attend births.

What you’ll bring:

  • Current Utah license as an Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)

  • Certification as a Nurse Midwife

  • Eligible for Utah Controlled Substance License.

  • Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V.

  • BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.

  • 1+ years of CNM experience attending births
