Intermountain Health Police Officer PRN in Murray, Utah

Job Description:

The Police Officer provides law enforcement and preservation of public peace and safety for hospital patients, guests, and employees.

Job Essentials

    1. Provides a police presence in the triage area of the Emergency Department. Monitors and controls access to the Emergency Department and other areas of the hospital as appropriate.
    1. Prepares shift reports regarding investigative actions and functions performed while on duty.
    1. Provides initial security assessments and patient or visitor restraints as appropriate.
    1. Assists hospital staff with combative or troublesome patients.
    1. May assist with Trauma patients, families, Life Flight, or other emergent situations.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a Police Officer in good standing in the following jurisdictions

  • SLC County/ UPD

  • Sandy city

  • Cottonwood heights

  • West Jordan

  • SLC PD

  • U of U PD

  • Murray PD

  • Utah County PD

  • Washington County PD

  • St George PD (Contract)

  • Ogden PD (k9)

  • Weber County PD

Demonstrated effective communication skills.

Demonstrated basic computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, and web-based applications.

Physical Requirements:

Hearing/Listening, Standing, Walking, Speaking, Seeing, Lifting, Carrying, Manual Dexterity.
