Google Head of Partner Engineering in Munich, Germany

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience in technical sales leadership, Go-to-Market in a cloud computing environment, or a partner-facing role, including working as a member of a professional services or systems engineering team.

  • Experience in c-level and executive relations, growing partnerships with System Integrators, GSIs, and ISVs.

  • Experience in people management within an enterprise company.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

  • Ability to inspire and lead teams in a channel's sales environment.

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment and present to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new and emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud technology space (e.g., Containers, Kubernetes, VMs, etc.).

  • Ability to communicate in English and German fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and project management skills, with effective attention-to-detail.

In this role, you will lead an EMEA wide organisation who engage with and enable strategic Google Cloud partners. You will work with the Cloud Partner and Sales leadership to grow and develop the technical capacity of our Google Cloud partner ecosystem and ensure business and customer delivery through the channel. You will be key to defining the strategy that involves recruitment, launch and growth of our partners, including Global System Integrators (GSIs) and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), enabling their technical teams and assisting them and joint customers in their technical journey with Google Cloud.

Our team of technical account managers and software engineers work with partners across all functions to develop solutions that harness Google's planet-wide platform to solve the world's most challenging problems.

  • Represent EMEA at a global Channel table and set the goal for the future of the organisation.

  • Work with Google Cloud Partners leadership to identify, qualify, and prioritize joint market opportunities. Participate in periodic business plan review meetings providing insight into how to secure technical wins on prospects.

  • Hire, coach and drive a high performance team to enable partners to work towards strategic goals. Prepare and deliver product messaging to highlight Google Cloud Platform value proposition.

  • Contribute to the governance and development of a Google Cloud Practices within Global System integrators and ISVs. Develop hiring strategies and up-skilling plans.

  • Develop relationships, act as a trusted advisor to the leadership in our partners ensuring adoption in business cycles. Operate team and business leadership. Develop the regional technical strategy and drive consistent execution.
