Google Technical Program Manager, Cloud Capacity Networking, GeoExpansion in Mumbai, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

  • 15 years of technical program management experience, working on cross-functional programs.

  • Experience in capacity planning, inventory optimization, or infrastructure projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

  • Experience in data modeling, trend analysis, statistics, forecasting, or business insights.

  • Experience in network capacity planning.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

Cloud Capacity is responsible for the compute, storage and network capacity planning for Google Cloud Platform (GCP). We are a team of customer-first demand planners, efficient power planners, responsive fleet managers who enable Google Cloud's explosive growth and efficiency.

  • Enabling Google Cloud's success by planning network capacity to support Global Geo Expansion.

  • Forecast network capacity to support GCP expansion into new geographies. Manage the planning and delivery of network capacity in new GCP regions from concept through launch.

  • Establish processes and tools to improve GeoExpansion forecasting and planning.

  • Ensure compliance to product requirements, deviation approvals and spend governance. Drive cost and process efficiencies
