Nielsen Program Manager - Salesforce Platform in Mumbai, India

ROLE: This role will work closely with global revenue operations, sales, marketing, finance customer experience and other business teams to oversee Salesforce solutions that meet our business requirements and drive growth in the CRM Technology & Data Management function. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of Salesforce architecture and design, as well as experience leading Salesforce related programs. The Salesforce Program Manager will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage and work effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, contractors and consultants. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish agile practices that best support our development efforts and train team members on agile practices.

  • Work with our Salesforce architects and development team to ensure that Nielsen’s agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Jira Agilecraft) are set up and operate in a manner that best supports our practices. Includes collaborating with Nielsen teams to ensure tools and applications meet the team requirements.

  • Design, create and maintain Jira reporting

  • Execute and coordinate agile ceremonies across the team and be a leader on our Agile team and actively plan, document, schedule, lead and participate in all Agile related meetings and activities.

  • Act as Development Release Manager; coordinate production releases, including deployment plans, change management tracking (standard releases and ECRs), to ensure that all critical Nielsen processes are followed correctly (including CAB requirements)

  • Coordinate on and off-boarding, billing, time-tracking and financial reconciliation of contractors, including finance team alignment for key operational spend tracking

  • Manage the day to day work efforts of the a Contractor team including all Nielsen required business processes for third parties

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required certifications, such as Certified Scrum Master Certification and or Certified Program Manager

  • 10+ years Program Manager experience with strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices

  • Excellent Expertise and 10+ years experience with Jira and Confluence including report and dashboard creation and management.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards to achieve critical business objectives.

  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong resourceful problem-solving skills including managing complex and phased projects with passion and a commitment to success.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated 5+ years serving and supporting U.S., Europe and global business platform users.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to respond, interact and problem solve Demonstrated ability to provide direct actionable instruction and support audiences of varying technical backgrounds with clarity and accountability

  • Self starter, works well independently and in collaborative team environments.

  • Excellent Google suite skills

  • Quarterly weekend hours required to support application upgrades and releases.

  • Deep technical expertise in Salesforce object data model, Salesforce architecture, Apex coding best practices, integration design patterns and ability to design technical solutions that align with native out of the box Salesforce features and that avoid custom technical debt.

  • Proficiency in DevOps processes including the use of version control tools (eg. Gitlab) and code deployment tools (eg. GearSet) to migrate code across multiple Salesforce environments.

  • Required Agile related certifications, such as Certified Scrum Master Certification and or Certified Program Manager
