AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from thelargest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Our India team is looking for an accomplished Storage Specialist Seller to help create the strategy and drive execution of programs which help customers migrate on premises storage to AWS Cloud Storage Services including: file storage (Amazon EFS, Amazon FSx), object storage (Amazon S3), block storage (Amazon EBS), archival storage (Amazon Glacier), and AWS Storage Gateway, a family of hybrid storage services that provide on-premises access to virtually unlimited cloud storage.

The Cloud Storage Specialist Seller will use their background in business strategy and technical depth to create and orchestrate “at scale” programs, initiatives to help reduce friction and accelerate customer adoption of AWS cloud storage services, in partnership with our storage services teams and the Account teams in India. WW specialists are responsible for creating the GTM strategy for the service including defining paths to market, piloting using cases, defining financial incentives, and helping win lighthouse accounts. A proven track record of developing and executing go-to-market (GTM) sales programs and initiatives at scale with tangible results, as well impacting lighthouse deals are critical attributes that will lead to success in the role.

The Storage Specialist Seller role at AWS requires a hands-on, results oriented individual who is detail oriented, analytical, a great communicator, and able to work independently in a fast paced, ambiguous environment. The successful candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and desire to dive deep is a must

Key job responsibilities

• Setting program direction, and oversee tactical execution, of insight based programs and go to market activities with a focus on creating programs and initiatives which reduce friction and accelerate adoption of AWS cloud storage solutions

• Using your business acumen to drive revenue, develop sales programs and identify new accounts, markets and opportunities.

• Partnering with AWS Account teams, storage services and industry teams to identify workloads that impact our storage services

• A background in mapping the application of technology to customer business scenarios that help our customers understand how to improve their operational outcomes through the use of AWS storage services

• Your effective verbal and written communication skills will allow you build sales enablement tools, evangelize our platform with our enterprise and mid-market customers as well as our valued partners

• Act as a trusted business advisor while deep diving into data, creating high impact programs, and tracking progress while tuning for desired results

• Be a leader of virtual teams. You will guide cross functional teams to drive AWS adoption in the key workloads that use the AWS Storage portfolio

• Define, drive, measure, manage and coach on workload focused goals across the business

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of technical business development, strategic partnerships

  • 8 + years of experience in product management

  • 5+ years supporting storage technologies

  • Experience with cloud computing and or related fields (IT, software, etc)

Preferred Qualifications

-Negotiation skills, and business and financial acumen

-Analytical skills, and demonstrated ability to turn detailed data analysis into useful strategic insights in order to drive customer adoption and make appropriate recommendations to the business

-Verbal and written communications skills are a must

-Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations is key

-MBA/Engg or equivalent relevant educational qualification
