We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Director will help senior management and its individual business units manage the Firm's Tax risk by owning and driving forward the Operational Tax Control framework.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships, driving strategic automation solutions by embracing a transformation mindset and challenging the status quo.

This is anDirectorposition within Core Services, which is responsible for performing and managing product-agnostic and centralized operational services across several businesses and products.

What you’ll do in the role:

An opportunity has arisen within Mumbai ITOs RTB Tax team to drive forward the Regulatory Change monitoring initiatives. The team manage the firm’s Operational tax risk and Global reporting obligation along with related audit requirements; implementation of tax changes for processes owned by ITO and other departments.

The key responsibilities of the successful applicant will include providing Reg Change support and risk management of the below functions and driving forward a reg change agenda:

  • Regulatory change monitoring and review of Operational Tax (e.g. CRS, WHT, Transaction Tax) rules across various global markets

  • Proactively monitor various sources to gather reg updates in the Operational Tax space

  • Co-ordinate with Corp Tax to analyse the regulatory updates, assess it’s impact on the processes and disseminate it to the Reporting Team

  • Address queries and provide clarification to the Reporting Teams on the Operational Tax rule changes per market- Coordination of Tax Authority audits or requests and reconciliation of required information such as reportable/non-reportable entities and accounts.

  • Supporting the ITO Enhancement strategy to improve systemic tax processing.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Skills Required (Essential)

  • Experience in supporting Operational Tax processes

  • Ability to drive forward change agenda

  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to grasp detailed concepts quickly

  • Awareness of tax concepts including Global Operational Tax reporting obligations.
