Microsoft Corporation IP Verification Engineer II in Multiple Locations, India

The Silicon Computing Development Organization is seeking passionate, driven and intellectually curious engineers to join our pre-silicon hardware verification team. We are responsible for delivering cutting-edge, custom SOC designs that can perform complex and high-performance functions in the most efficient manner.

Responsibilities

In this high impact role on the team, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and implement verification plans for semiconductor IP and Sub-System blocks.

  • Collaborate with design and architecture teams to understand IP specifications and requirements.

  • Create test benches using System Verilog, UVM, SVA and industry-standard methodologies.

  • Enhance IP block validation through the effective application of formal verification methods.

  • Identify and debug design issues, ensuring IP functionality meets specifications.

  • Conduct functional, performance and power verification to meet quality standards.

  • Develop and maintain verification documentation, including test plans and reports.

  • Stay updated on industry trends in IP/Sub-system/SOC verification, formal verification, and AMBA protocol.

  • Innovation to improve verification efficiency through methodologies or tools.

  • Work as part of a team to define, create, and utilize industry-leading AI verification tools and methodologies.

Qualifications

Required :

  • 3+ years of pre-silicon IP and/or Sub System Verification experience

  • Candidate must have at least a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related degree

Preferred:

  • Experience in full-cycle verification, including defining plans, writing test plans, test development, debugging, and coverage signoff.

  • Proficiency in creating, maintaining, or integrating test benches, checkers, and stimulus using System Verilog, UVM, SVA, and/or C.

  • Familiarity with formal verification techniques.

  • Preferable experience in ARM-based core-sight, debug, and traces, JTAG, and AMBA CHI protocol.

  • Expertise in automating verification processes using Python or another scripting language.

  • Exposure to Generative AI skills for deployment in the verification process
