Digital Finishing Printer Operator

Pay: $26-$27

Shift: 2nd or 3rd (depending on department)

Job Description

As a Digital Finishing Operator, your main responsibility will be the setup and operation of commercial label inspector machines, including visual quality control. You will be tasked with slitting continuous lengths of printed material into strips of the specified width. Duties also include receiving job assignments from supervisors, reviewing job jackets to ensure all finishing, packaging, and shipping specifications are addressed, and inspecting products to ensure quality integrity. You will be required to perform preventative maintenance on machines, replace blades on inspection machines, complete paperwork for each job, and package finished goods for shipment.

Hard Skills

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, printing, machine operation or packaging industry

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations

• Ability to read and interpret ruler, scales, and other measurement devices

• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without mechanical assistance
