Robert Half Payroll Manager/Director in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Supervisor/Manager/Director in the Government industry, based in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. The individual will oversee the payroll function, while also managing the use of various accounting software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising, managing, and directing the payroll functions of the organization.

• Ensuring the effective use of accounting software systems to streamline the payroll process.

• Utilizing ADP - Financial Services and Great Plains (GPAC) for the organization's financial needs.

• Leveraging Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites to maintain accurate records and generate necessary reports.

• Overseeing the accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Implementing bookkeeping functions to ensure the accurate and timely management of all financial deadlines.

• Communicating effectively with the C-Suite regarding payroll and financial matters.

• Ensuring compliance with government regulations related to payroll and financial reporting.

• Utilizing strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of payroll functions. Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC)

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites

• Knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in Bookkeeping Functions

• Ability to liaise with C-Suite

• Experience in a government role is preferred

• Proven track record as a Payroll Supervisor/Manager/Director

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

• Capacity to adapt to new systems and procedures quickly

• Understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations

• Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
