About the Role:

About 50% travel involved.

The Meeting & Events Manager serves as the primary client contact for the delivery of meetings and events services curating and end-to-end immersive brand experience for employees, clients, and visitors.

In the role you would partner with onsite teams that serve as meeting and event specialists ensuring planning, space preparation, service delivery and post-event wrap up activities are delivered with quality and care. In addition to making recommendations on budgets and cost management, this individual also coordinates with clients to resolve complex issues and provide a consistently positive experience through regular engagement and improvement of event processes.

You would also be responsible for guiding event clients through the full scope of the planning process, including creative curation of the events.

This role is passionate about handling our strategy around the Meetings & Events field, delivering tangible concepts to our diverse customer base, and handling long-term value across the Experience platform.

What You’ll Do:

  • Leads all aspects of meeting and events program. Crafts training structure and event management processes. Ensures the overall organizational structure and efficiency, client relations, service processes and tools, etc.

  • Serve as primary contact with clients for meeting & events forecasts and strategies. Troubleshoot and resolve client inquiries and raised complaints.

  • Maintain department budget. Approve purchase orders for event supplies as requested by the team.

  • Partners with event hosts to recommend and source decor, entertainment, gifts/giveaways, transportation, security, signage and any other special needs as indicated by event client.

  • Implement improvements for event success. This includes making improvements to processes, procedures, and systems. Review reports to measure productivity and present findings to management.

  • Ensure operations and vendors are aligned with location requirements.

  • Accountable for tracking department SLAs, KPIs, and benchmarks. Monitor related performance data and determine solutions for gaps.

  • Lead and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.

  • Apply knowledge of own subject area and how own field integrates to achieve team and departmental objectives.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.

  • Ability to guide the exchange of critical, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.

  • Leadership skills to empower team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job field and department.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Extensive interpersonal skills with a strong inquisitive mentality.

  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Events Manager position is $110,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $125,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
