Vendor Manager Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Vendor Manager Consultant for an immediate client project. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in vendor management, with a strong track record of effectively managing vendor relationships. As the Vendor Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of vendor relationships, including placing purchase orders, managing escalations of contract manufacturers (all domestic), and performing monthly true-up analysis of the contract manufacturers. This is a W2 Role – NO C2C.

Vendor Manager Responsibilities:

• Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products and services.

• Place purchase orders with vendors according to company guidelines and procurement policies.

• Act as the primary point of contact for contract manufacturers, addressing and resolving any escalations or issues that arise.

• Conduct monthly true-up analysis of contract manufacturers to ensure accuracy and adherence to contractual agreements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, supply chain, and quality assurance, to optimize vendor performance and mitigate risks.

• Monitor vendor performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.

• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with vendors to achieve cost savings and improve overall value.

• Stay current on industry trends and best practices in vendor management to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Maintain accurate records of vendor communications, contracts, and performance metrics.

• Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management to provide updates on vendor performance and initiatives.

Vendor Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in vendor management or procurement, preferably in a similar industry.

• Proven track record of effectively managing vendor relationships and driving performance improvements.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct data analysis and interpret metrics.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with vendor management software.

• Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) designation preferred.

Salary range $65-90/hr W2. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
