Google Technical Program Manager II, Manufacturing Operations, Pixel in Mountain View, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in program management.

  • Experience in Consumer Product Manufacturing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a similar discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Experience with 3D CAD and Statistical Analysis.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Identify design and process issues and drive best design and manufacturing practices with cross-functional teams, and develop automation processes that align to teams long-term strategies.

  • Manage the mechanical/assembly side of projects from initial builds through ramp and serve as mechanical technical lead in resolving issues during bring-up and life of product.

  • Work with the Product Design team to develop manufacturing processes to meet product design, as well as partners, other cross-functional Engineering teams and Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) team during all phases of development and product introduction.

  • Identify, prioritize, and manage key technical changes and risks of a product, ensure all technical risks associated with a product are identified and mitigated to enable the quality ramp of a product.
