Intuit SEO Video Content Editor in Mountain View, California

Overview

Intuit’s Consumer Group (CG), a team dedicated to serving the needs of over 20+ million US consumers as they file their annual tax returns, is looking for a Video Content Editor to join our TurboTax SEO team. This role will focus on transforming tax-related articles into engaging video content, optimizing both long-form and short-form formats to reach and resonate with common taxpayers. The Video Content Editor will report to the Senior SEO Marketing Manager based in San Diego, CA.

As a pivotal player in our content creation strategy, you will blend creativity with analytical thinking to produce informative, tax-accurate videos that drive traffic to our website. Your work will not only simplify complex tax concepts but also help scale our content efforts, ensuring we meet the evolving needs of our audience while enhancing our search visibility across multiple platforms.

This is an opportunity for a high-performing, driven self-starter who can translate our brand message into compelling visual narratives. You will be an expert in producing various styles of video, from graphics and animation driven explainers to short-form social media style content, enhancing our content strategy and driving traffic back to our website.

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years of experience in video editing or digital content creation, particularly focused on SEO and online audience engagement.

  • Proven ability to create highly engaging videos, supported by a rich portfolio showcasing diverse video types.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects with varying timelines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Passion for producing educational and engaging content, with a deep understanding of user behavior and content strategy.

  • Familiarity with AI tools and technologies to enhance video production and optimize content for audience engagement and reach.

  • Excellent communication, collaborative project management skills, and ability to take feedback for effectively navigating complex projects with tight deadlines and multiple stakeholders.

  • Hybrid Role: 2-3 days in office/week

How you will lead

Engaging Storyteller and Collaborative Creator

  • Strong storytelling abilities in both written and visual formats, excelling at converting complex tax concepts into engaging and compelling videos that facilitate clear communication to diverse audiences.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SEO, PR/Communications, Marketing Strategists to execute successful campaigns.

Digital Content Expertise

  • Experience in creating and editing videos to maximize audience engagement on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and others, all while driving organic traffic.

  • Knowledge of trends in video marketing and SEO strategies, including the integration of AI tools in the content creation process.

  • A strong creative drive combined with design thinking skills and experience in producing industry-leading short videos.

  • Demonstrated ability to make intricate tax topics easily understandable through the innovative use of motion graphics, infographics, and other visual tools.

  • Familiarity with using AI and non-AI tools to refine content creation processes and an understanding of optimizing videos for SEO across platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Meta and Instagram.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Optimization

  • Build content and transform tax articles into engaging, informative videos in both long-form and short-form formats, tailored for widespread audience reach on TurboTax website and owned properties like YouTube, Meta, TikTok, and more.

  • Collaborate with the SEO Content Manager and Tax Experts to ensure videos align with TurboTax brand messaging, tax accuracy, and quality standards while effectively capturing user search intent.

  • Utilize AI and non-AI tools to enhance video production quality and efficiency, ensuring timely delivery aligned with our editorial calendar.

  • Develop creative ideas that elevate our online presence while adhering to brand requirements.

SEO & Video Strategy Implementation

  • Develop video content strategies that aim to improve our search visibility, focusing on trending topics that resonate with our target audience.

  • Monitor video performance across platforms and implement continuous improvements based on analytics and viewer feedback.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with SEO and marketing teams to align video content with overall digital marketing objectives, ensuring cohesive messaging and effective distribution strategies.

  • Partner with internal teams and external agencies to distribute video content across platforms to extend TurboTax’s expertise across the web

  • Regularly participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute creative ideas and innovative approaches for content scaling.
