Intuit Senior Software Engineer in Mountain View, California

You will be working with a team of engineers on a platform that is core to Intuit's goal of becoming an "AI-driven expert platform". You will be helping to build platforms that empower your colleagues to bring the best AI to market quickly. What you'll bring

  • 6+ years experience developing highly scalable & high performance distributed applications

  • Experience with the development challenges inherent with highly scalable and available web applications.

  • BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.

  • Strong experience with any cloud vendors like AWS , GCP , Azure

  • Strong experience with multiple languages like Python & Java: Developing and maintaining large scale applications

  • Willing to learn and adapt to new languages & technologies

  • Experience with ML Development Life Cycle (MDLC), and Tools like LangChain, FastAPI

  • Experience with generative AI, LLM operations, AI assistant, prompt engineering, embeddings, AI background, machine learning.

  • 5+ years experience with web services (consuming or creating) with REST

  • Experience with open source technologies, prototyping and/or researching the up and coming technology and solutions.

  • Solid communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong understanding of the Software design/architecture process.

  • Experience with unit testing

  • Designing/developing web, software, prototypes, or proofs of concepts (POC’s)

  • Act in a technical leadership capacity: Mentoring junior engineers, new team members, and applying technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems

  • Roughly 70-85% hands-on coding

  • Be on call rotation for US hours and help internal customers

  • Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches

  • Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, QA/QE, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results

  • Contribute to the design and architecture of the project

  • Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies
