Google Channel Sales and Activations Manager, Devices and Services in Mountain View, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.

  • 2 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.

  • 2 years of experience developing business strategies or managing cross-functional initiatives.

  • Experience in channel sales or marketing organizations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree.

  • 2 years of experience generating insights from analysis on large data sets to drive business decisions.

  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders across organizational boundaries.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to take complex, ambiguous topics and turn them into compelling narratives for different audiences.

  • Structured problem-solving skills, combined with strong business acumen.

The Devices and Services Business Organization was formed with the purpose of bringing the best of Google’s software and hardware to our users by bringing to market and distributing a Google-branded consumer hardware and services portfolio. The team is responsible for managing all partnerships with carriers, retailers, and resellers worldwide.

The Global Channel Sales and Activation (GCSA) team is dedicated to maximizing sales of our products to consumers (sell out) through a network of preferred distribution partners. We achieve this by developing and implementing various programs, go-to-market strategies, and strategic initiatives that empower our regional teams to effectively manage sales and enhance the consumer experience across all sales channels.

This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in channel sales go-to-market strategy and to shape the future of our company's channel sales and activation efforts. You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing programs that drive sustainable sales growth in physical and digital channels, improve operational efficiency, and support regional sellout management efforts. You will synthesize large amounts of data and generate deep insights with concise, actionable messaging, reporting and communicate key findings, and sales insights to management.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000-$167,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Develop comprehensive sales, product or business strategies that solve complex business challenges, and address the needs of customers and stakeholders across various functions to drive incremental growth.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional and country stakeholders to develop and implement a robust methodology for setting store-level targets that align with overall sales objectives of the organization.

  • Share key sales and performance metrics with field sales teams to reach larger organization goals.

  • Evaluate global vendor performance and productivity to ensure the success of our vendor strategy at an optimal cost across the globe.

  • Synthesize large amounts of data and generate deep insights with concise, actionable messaging and reporting, and communicate key findings and sales insights to management.
