Material Handling Systems, Inc. seeks Technical Trainer II in Mt. Washington, KY.Duties: The Technical Trainer II job duties include the following: on-site conveyance equipment assessments to our many clients and interacting with our customers; interfacing with operators, technicians, mechanics, electricians, and supervisors. Responsible for technical skills and expert performance, developing successful partnerships with new and existing customers. Critical as a force for pulling through for parts, recurring training, and preventive maintenance inspections. Execute technical assessment/audit programs according to organizational requirements. Produce assessment schedules and agendas. Resolve engineering issues at the site utilizing current site conditions, engineering knowledge, experience, and relationships with the customer project team. Provide training and guidance to site installers on required fabrication and assembly techniques to meet engineering specifications. Perform technical analysis on real work application of the conveying system to ensure it meets project goals. Meet with customers to plan and resolve issues on installed and existing active lines, sorters, and equipment. Provide training and guidance to sitemaintenance personnel on critical technical items. Inspect equipment quality to ensure conformance with the project specifications. Determine assessment content according to objectives. Prepare assessment materials, including reports, presentations, and worksheets. Arrange for and conduct on-site assessments. Record and report data on completed assessments.Observe and evaluate results of assessment programs. Determine overall effectiveness of programs and suggest improvements. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. As an alternative, in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, employer will accept 7 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires any amount of professional experience in the following: (1) Experience as technical assessor or trainer; (2) Experience providing technical assessments and audits; (3) Experience with high voltage electrical, mechanical, and controls hardware; (4) Experience with Electrical Diagnostic equipment including Digital Multimeters and thermal imagers; (5) Experience with Controls software including: Connected Components Workshop (CCW), SoMove, 9000Xdrive, Movitools Motion Studio, Studio5000, RSlogix, EZlogix and Genesis.; and (6) Experience with hand tools and power tools. Telecommuting permitted. Domestic and International travel required 75% of the time.40 hours/week.
