Westchester Community Health Center Materials Management Assistant in Mount Vernon, New York

Assist in a support capacity by coordinating materials management administrative and operational duties.

Primary Responsibility of the Position:

Comply with the Materials Management Policy and Procedures Manual when performing daily responsibilities. Purchasing materials and equipment repair support for all departments. Prepare supply reports as required. File documents and distribute materials and equipment. Compile, enter, and retrieve management data for the preparation of reports. Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use, accounting, and care of equipment and materials for which materials management has responsibility. Initiate Purchasing Activity to ensure the availability of materials needed by the Health Center and ensure its proper documentation Maintain and update all logs and Daily Schedules. Communicate and provide information to assist and enable materials management to effectively service all departments. Assist in the assurance of all the materials needs of departments in the Health Center. Help keep the area in order and clean. Perform other related duties as assigned Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent Experience in materials handling Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds Ability to work independently Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
