Description We are in search of a Tax Staff (Public) to join our team in the CPA industry located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. The successful candidate will primarily be involved in a variety of complex accounting tasks including account reconciliation and general ledger work. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone aiming to utilize and enhance their skills in the field of accountancy.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake complex account reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy in financial statements

• Manage general ledger entries and ensure they adhere to established accounting principles

• Utilize QuickBooks software for efficient accounting operations

• Play a versatile role in the team by assisting in tax and audit-related tasks

• Contribute to the growth of the business by identifying and implementing improvements in accounting processes

• Handle client accounting requirements promptly and accurately

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth accounting operations

• Address customer inquiries professionally and in a timely manner, providing high-quality customer service

• Monitor and review customer accounts regularly, taking necessary actions as required. Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a CPA firm or similar role

• Proficiency in using General Ledger and QuickBooks is required

• Must possess skills in Account Reconciliation

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion

• Excellent problem solving/judgement skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure

• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels.
