Job Summary:

JOB SUMMARY

Dispenses medical/surgical supplies and patient care equipment with regular guidance. Coordinates and performs the daily functions for supply and equipment distribution to discharged patients. Notifies caregivers and patients of their order status and advises them of problems and delays on their orders as needed. Ensures appropriate supplies are ordered, received, and inventory levels are maintained.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides materials and equipment requested in a timely manner.

• Processes customer orders in a timely manner.

• Inventories all supply areas, maintains appropriate par levels and prepares orders for processing.

• Confers with departmental representatives to determine if specific supply needs are being met.

• Effectively manages storeroom stock items by proper placement and rotation.

• Processes customer orders in Brightree operating system.

• Orders/receives supplies and stocks/delivers to assigned locations. Receives the supplies into Brightree operating system, verifies packing slips, and completes documentation.

• Interacts with customers and communicate effectively.

• Responsible for patient education, training, and setup of medical equipment and supplies.

• Works in conjunction with the Respiratory Therapy teams in patient supplies of Oxygen.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES

• Inventory Management (Novice): Monitors material movement into and out of stock, reconciles inventory balances, and maintains adequate inventory levels.

• Equipment Inspections (Novice): Reviews and Inspections is a systematic process of checking to see whether a piece of equipment is meeting specified requirements.

• Equipment disinfection (Novice): Ensure all rental equipment is cleaned to company and accrediting body standards.
