Position Summary

Lead and coordinate all technical phases of product development, evaluation and manufacturing aspects of various engineering projects using Arrow's design control and Product-to-Market Processes.

Principal Responsibilities

• Support product development by implementing products into manufacturing; includes developing and implementing processes, equipment and manufacturing capabilities.

• Support Manufacturing by improving existing products or processes. Interface with marketing, physicians and customers as necessary to solve problems and complete projects.

• Perform the verification and validation activities for new and existing products and components.

• Lead the redesign of existing componenets to improve quality, utilize automated producation techniques, optimize process capabilites, and produce better products in a more cost-effective manner.

• Lead project team members to meet project objectives, milestones and target dates.

• Identify and create new design and/or process concepts. Design and validate products and components using engineering principles and adhering to the design control process as appropriate.

• Lead, conduct and/or participate in design and technical phase reviews.

• Interface with purchasing and marketing to develop vendor supply agreements for components and/or new products.

• Review and provide updates on project progress on an as required basis by supervisor.

• Serve as a mentor for engineering personnel on clinician interaction, product design development, verification/validation testing, documentation, and manufacturing related processes.

• As needed, support investigation of product complaints to determine cause and implement corrective action.

• Adhere to and ensure compliance of Teleflex’s Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards.

Education / Experience Requirements

• BS Engineering discipline

• 3-5 years experience in R&D related function

• 2 years in medical device company preferred

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

• Experience in product design, machine design, manufacturing processes

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Team player with good interpersonal skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computerized analysis applications
