Affordable Care Manager, Practice Development in Morrisville, North Carolina

Overview

Manager, Practice Development is responsible for managing the Practice Development Specialist in their day-to-day operations, new hire training and supporting and or conducting virtual and in person training as needed within the organization. This position partners with the Sr. Director of Training and Development, Operations, Marketing, Human Resources, and other departments to audit the efficacy of training and identify any additional training and development needs. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Training and Development, the Manager, Practice Development is a critical role in the development of FDAs, DAs, treatment coordinators, office managers, and other field support members.

  • Possesses effective time-management skills and are self-accountable to delivering results

  • Possesses strong working knowledge of all ACI’s practice management systems, insurance processes and clinical systems and processes

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel monthly to any one of our affiliated dental practices for multiple consecutive days as needed or determined by the needs of the business

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills

  • Ability to continually motivate, coach and develop team members with integrity and professionalism

  • Support team members’ professional development by providing opportunities for training and growth

  • Experience with dentures and dental implants

  • Experience in Treatment Planning and Presenting Treatment Plans to support Case Acceptance

  • Must understand compliance with state dental practice requirements (i.e., X-ray requirements, OSHA training, Cone Beam Imaging etc.)

  • Experience with Dental Insurance and/or Medical Insurance

  • Excellent professional, interpersonal, and customer service skills

  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels.

  • Experience with PMS systems- for example Dentrix dental software, Eaglesoft

  • Detail-oriented, ability to multitask

  • Strong work ethic

  • Able to operate effectively independently

  • Great attitude and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Excellent organization, planning, judgment, and time management skills

  • Highly Collaborative - Can effectively work as part of a team and work with others across the organization to achieve a common goal

Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience. BS/BA- RDA, RDH degree highly preferred

  • 2+ years of Direct Supervisory or Management experience

  • 5+ years of Dental Field Experience

  • 5+ years of Training experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, and Advanced PowerPoint
