Need 5 full-time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers to work in Morris, MN. From: 09/15/2024 - 07/07/2025 48 hours/week: Mon.-Sat. 8 hrs./day Workers will be paid overtime in accordance with Minnesota Statute 177, specifically 177.25 Subdivision 1 and/or 177.23 Subdivision 7(2). Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. JOB DUTIES: Operate farm equipment and implements used in agricultural production for duties such as cultivating, harvesting, storing crops and grinding/mixing feeds for swine production; Drive truck, tractor, or other equipment to distribute; Perform duties related to swine reproduction such as breeding sows within appropriate timeframes, performing artificial inseminations, and helping with farrowing; Help baby pigs to survive birth and infancy; Examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to castrate, notch ears, vaccinate; Cleans stalls and pens by flushing waste into holding pits; Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences; Drive farm vehicle. Work performed requires exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, and repetitive movements. Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath. The nature of farm work may require workers to work after dark and possibly weekends depending on weather conditions. Bonus may be offered to any seasonal worker employed pursuant to this job order, at the company's sole discretion, based on individual factors including work performance, skill, and tenure. All work-related tools, equipment and supplies will be provided by the employer. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) months experience in job duties listed; must have or be able to obtain a drivers license following hire; clean driving record; able to lift 75 lbs.; random drug test post hire, at no cost to worker, and testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment; no minimum education requirement. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
