Description Assistant/Associate Professor - Statistician for WVU School of Nursing Description The West Virginia University School of Nursing invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor faculty position to: Teach applied graduate level statistics courses using SPSS or similar software, such as SAS, and Stata Prepare and evaluate the quantitative component of the nursing PhD qualifying exam Consult with faculty, PhD students, and DNP students on study/project design, quantitative methodology, preparation and management of data, data analysis and interpretation, and reporting of results, including review of manuscripts Collaborate on grant proposals and participate in research teams to write grant proposals with a focus on crafting statistical sections Provide methodological and statistical support for funded projects Serve on PhD dissertation and DNP student project committees as needed Serve on graduate curriculum and graduate program committees

Qualifications The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Biostatistics or related field with a strong foundation in statistical theory and extensive experience in applying advanced statistical methods to biomedical or nursing science research. Experience working with health data, artificial intelligence (AI), and cutting-edge technological tools is preferred. Rank, tenure, and salary will be commensurate with the individual's professional background and experience.
