Robert Half Construction Attorney/Lawyer in Mooresville, North Carolina

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer role in the construction industry. This role is based in Mooresville, North Carolina. You will be working on-site, handling mostly commercial and multifamily developments. You will majorly be involved in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts, managing and processing lien waivers, and working with outside counsel to streamline work.

Responsibilities:

• Manage general contractors on the project management side for commercial and multifamily developments

• Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including General Contractor (GC) contracts

• Manage and process lien waivers efficiently

• Correspond and collaborate with outside counsel to streamline work and ensure legal compliance

• Leverage technical skills to optimize project management processes

• Contribute to maintaining a positive work culture within a team of 29 professionals

• Utilize Procore software for efficient project management and contract administration

• Leverage skills in construction, contracts, and lien waivers for effective contract management

Please note that the starting date for this role is aimed to be August 1st. This role does not offer remote work and will require the individual to be present on-site. Requirements • Must hold a valid license to practice law in the state of employment.

• Demonstrated experience in the field of construction law is essential.

• Strong understanding of contract law, particularly as it pertains to construction contracts.

• Experience with lien waivers is highly desirable.

• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to effectively resolve disputes.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

• Must have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in the use of standard office software and legal research tools.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• High level of professional integrity and ethical standards.

• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with developments in relevant law.
