Lockheed Martin Energy/Sustainability Engineer (LMES) in Moorestown, New Jersey

At RMS-Moorestown, we are committed to leading the way in energy management and sustainability across our sites. Our goal is to enhance energy efficiency, reduce costs, and support our Corporate commitment to decarbonization. We focus on developing and implementing energy-related projects that span mechanical and electrical systems, renewable energy, and green building practices.

The Work

As an Energy Management Specialist, you will:

• Oversee energy management activities for all RMS-Moorestown sites.

• Design, develop, and evaluate projects to reduce energy costs and improve efficiency during construction, remodeling, or operational phases.

• Specialize in mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, lighting, air quality, and green buildings.

• Manage site utilities, interface with Corporate Finance for utility service contracts, and oversee the annual "Go Green"/Decarbonization program.

• Support Facilities Maintenance with the building management system and installation of new electrical subsystems and software upgrades.

• Assess and support distributed energy resource (DER) technologies, markets, and policies.

• Conduct policy and regulatory research, quantitative analysis, and technical evaluations.

• Develop and implement energy reduction projects, including renewable energy and energy storage solutions.

• Oversee bidding and procurement for utilities and energy-related contracts, and monitor utility rates, consumption, and site budgets.

• Participate in local and national energy policy discussions, utility rate decisions, and regulatory reviews.

• Lead conservation teams to identify energy savings opportunities and track utility incentives and Renewable Energy Credits (RECs).

• Liaise with utility companies for routine and major tasks, and manage EV charging stations and session payments.

• Assist with annual Energy Information Administration surveys and provide technical support across RMS-Moorestown sites.

Basic Qualifications:

BS Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree w/9+ years of experience or MS Energy Management degree w/7+ years of experience.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Desired Skills:

New Jersey Professional Engineering license.

Certified Energy Manager from the Association of Energy Engineers.

Strong knowledge of energy procurement, energy conservation, energy reporting/charting, energy rate structure, energy utilization, and environmental impact of energy use.

Proficient in project management, design and construction, as well as the LEED certification process.

Strong knowledge of utility companies and third party providers.

Proficient in continuous improvements tools and processes.

Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $24,024 - $67,288 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $20,904 - $67,288 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
