Group Summary

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY

Responsibilities would include working with launch production schedules, monitoring supplier schedules utilizing the MRP system ensuring sufficient material is present, while maximizing inventory level metrics. Other responsibilities include overseeing supplier start up for new launch activities while keeping an incredibly detailed tracker of progress from supplier setups, SAP setups, working with packaging and transportation engineers to develop supply chain concepts.

Job Security

• Ensure productivity, efficiency on daily basis.

• Take appropriate corrective action when substandard performance is observed.

• Interact with all support functions to ensure smooth operation.

• Summarize and report all delivery issues weekly and/or monthly.

• SNCR preparation, including follow-up with Suppliers and carriers.

• Participate in the execution of the Annual Physical Inventory.

• Assist with the preparation of Obsolescence claims when required.

• Work through launch activities through a smooth transition to series material planning.

• Making sure that material is ordered from suppliers in a timely manner that supports proper lead times

• Track supplier delivery schedules and escalate any concerns – regular follow-ups with all suppliers to ensure everything is on track.

• Maintain inventory for launch materials so that we properly raise flags early for required production needs.

• All other duties as assigned.

• Support continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts within your department.

Minimum Qualifications

• Good understanding of production inventory control techniques and principles.

• Efficient in ERP/SAP Supplier and Material Parameter set ups.

• 5 years prior manufacturing or warehousing experience.

• University degree or College diploma in Business or equivalent

• Familiarity with methods, tools, and electronic equipment applications, preferred.

• Results Orientated. Has a strong bias for action. Follows up quickly and consistently to brings issues to closure.

• Team approach

• Effective communication and people skills.

• Proven project and time management ability.

• Computer literate, including proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/Project.
