Eaton Corporation EHS Manager - NAS & Special Projects in Moon Township, Pennsylvania

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a EHS Manager - NAS & Special Projects.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

The EHS Manager acts as a leader for the EHS function and will provide guidance and direction for NAS as well as other Eaton personnel within the EESS Division. This position reports directly to the EESS division EHS Director and is a critical function to help drive continuous improvement, exposure reduction, and cultural improvement, including supporting other members of management to become more effective safety leaders. You will lead and manage safety strategies to support the North America Sales Organization as well as partner with regional and segment sales leaders to drive strategic corporate and divisional initiatives as well as safety management through the regions and sales segments. This position requires up to 25% travel.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage Contractor Safety Prequalification platforms to meet customer safety requirements

  • Develop and implement safety programs for deployment to a distributive/remote workforce including but not limited to new PPE requirements, corporate policies and regulations and local/state requirements

  • Lead safety meetings, provide details of updates to safety program, changes, and develop safety topics

  • Develop and support site safety contacts in maintaining and driving a culture of continuous improvement for safety

  • Serve as a resource to the sales organization by staying relevant and informed on safety, industry and technical related topics

  • Work with other Regional EHS Managers to keep consistency across each region/group

  • Lead incident management aspects, including but not limited to: reporting, event learning, and corrective/preventive actions

  • Assist with identifying safety risk/exposure areas and developing short term and long-term strategies

  • Coordinate/Perform required safety training and additional training to meet local leaderships specific safety needs

  • Consult with leaders to assist with identifying and developing local safety initiatives.

  • Support local leadership teams in implementing and reviewing customer safety requirements

  • Partner with training department to review and assist with the development of division training processes to ensure that required EHS training is defined and is tracked to completion

  • Field Visits as needed

  • Overall management of the Safety Management System within this area of responsibility

  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical field AND/OR EHS in industrial or electrical industry.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

  • Must live within 50 mile radius of an airport in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with regulations (NFPA, OSHA, CSA, EPA, OSHT)

  • Safety certifications: Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Trained Supervisor (STS), Construction

  • Health & Safety Technician (CHST) and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

Skills:

Travel Requirement:

  • Up to 25% travel required

Soft skills

  • Ability to demonstrate writing safety programs and procedures.

  • Strong electrical background.

  • General awareness of environmental and situational safety hazards that may exist on job sites.

  • Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with electrical and electronic equipment.

  • Previous experience delivering informative/instructional presentations to field based and management level employees.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

  • knowledge of human and organization performance (preferred)

  • Demonstrated experience leading divisional or company-wide safety projects or initiatives
