Ensures the solutions comply with its user requirement specifications and accountable for the validation activities of the processes. Leads automation projects operating with a high level of efficiency, integrity, and enthusiasm. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Designs automation equipment in respective areas of expertise, e.g., Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, or Software Application. Works closely with Project Manager/Engineer to meet project timeline and within budget. Expertise of automation equipment assembly and installation, machine building and motion control. Reviews, understands, and interprets requirements/specification accurately for integration into design of equipment. Ensures design for manufacturability, working with toolroom to build components. Acts as liaison with internal and/or external Assemblers/manufacturer of equipment to ensure all parts are manufactured to the design. Generates design drawings, installation manual, and user manual. Participates in inter-site and global projects. Mentors team members in respective areas of expertise. Qualification Requirements: Advanced knowledge of mechanical/electronics/electrical/software application engineering. Electrical expertise in wiring, electrical troubleshooting, interpreting electrical schematics, ability to create/modify schematics using AutoCAD. Expertise with machine vision systems, preferable Cognex. Expertise with robotic machine tending and pick and place. Expertise with laser marking. CAD/PLM, mechanical design experience in CAD, preferably CREO/Windchill. Programming languages desired: C++, PLC (structured text, ladder), flow diagram, HMI design. Agility to move between languages. Knowledgeable and capable of performing CSV requirements. Develops, reviews, understands, and interprets URS accurately for integration into design of equipment and all subsequent CSV documentation. Education and Experience Requirements: B.Sc. in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or similar. Minimum 3 - 5 years experiences in automation equipment design and installation. Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience. Designs automation equipment in respective areas of expertise, e.g., Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, or Software Application. The pay range for this role is $79,348 - $142,826. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
