Description

A busy company in the Montville area is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing company. This Accounts Payable Specialist will get the chance to join a dynamic team that works great with each other. The ideal Accounts Payable Specialist will have proficiency in JD Edwards (not required) and has 0-2 years of prior accounts payable experience. This Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for full cycle accounts payable handling matching, batching, and coding. In addition, this Accounts Payable Specialist will be supporting the Controller with other accounting duties so someone willing to learn/do more than just accounts payable is prefered. Other responsibilities of this Accounts Payable Specialist will include:

• Ensuring proper record retention of A/P documentation

• Reconciling and coding invoices

• Entering transactions into accounting system

• Preparing weekly ACH, Checks and wire transfer requests

• Performing other tasks and assignments as needed by the Controller

• Assisting with month-end reporting when needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field preferred

• JD Edwards a plus

• 0-2 years of accounts payable experience

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication
