Description

We have partnered with a premier client on their search for a Cost Accountant with proven manufacturing accounting expertise. This role involves maintaining accurate cost accounting data, performing cost analysis, and handling manufacturing cost accounting tasks. The successful candidate will work closely with the plant head, procurement head, and production team to ensure proper reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and report on costs related to manpower and materials used in the manufacturing process.

• Use Microsoft Excel to create detailed management reports.

• Apply knowledge of SAP in the execution of duties.

• Ensure accurate reporting of manufacturing costs.

• Work closely with the plant head, procurement head, and production team to ensure proper reporting.

• Collaborate with one plant accountant to manage cost accounting tasks effectively.

• Handle tasks related to inventory, production planning, and procurement.

• Travel to New Jersey as required for work-related activities.

• Maintain a strong understanding of the consumer product goods (CPG) arena.

• Leverage 5 to 10 years of experience in Cost Accounting and Cost Analysis.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Cost Accountant role within the manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Cost Accounting and Cost Analysis

• Expertise in Manufacturing Cost Accounting

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Detail-oriented and highly organized

• Familiarity with accounting software and databases

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
