Within CAE Defense & Security International, the Project Management Team delivers solutions across multi-domain operations (air, land, maritime, space and cyber) with our regional operational partners. This is a hybrid position based in Montreal. Reporting to the Portfolio Leader, the Project Manager delivers complex solutions in over 60+ countries, collaborating with governments and customers to brings the full extent of CAE’s capabilities and solutions to their local markets.

In this role, the Project Manager will be expected to:

· Autonomously manages the execution of one or multiple projects, from start to finish 

· Manage the financial and operational resources necessary to meet contractual obligations of the project to ensure profitability

· Develop and execute the project management plan for complex projects

· Provide day-to-day leadership for matrix team members

· Participate in proposal writing for project management aspects

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Direct multiple projects, simultaneously involving a variety of resourcing, scheduling, subcontracting and other project management activities

· Apply organizational project management practices and policies, processes, and procedures in managing projects. Shares best practices with colleagues.

· Participate in the negotiation of subcontract terms and workshare agreements

· Resolve project work/schedule issues by reprioritizing activities

· Act as primary liaison with customer on project matters including negotiations and securing customer acceptance

· Manage relationships, communications and negotiations with customers and stakeholders (internal/external) and be the voice of customer.

· Support technical, cost and schedule aspects of proposals

· Implement project work breakdown structure

· Develop opportunities for contract amendments to extend project scope, solve scope/financial issues, or improve financial returns by reducing costs

· Participate in various organizational initiatives based on your career interests

 Our ideal candidate has:

· University undergraduate degree in a technical field (engineering, computer science, or related field of study).   Non-technical university undergraduate degree may be considered

· Minimum of eight (8) years of high technology experience, including at least four years as Project Manager.

· Meet the requirements of the Canada Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and in certain cases, ITAR requirements

· PMP certification, or obtained within twelve months of hiring

· Flexibility to work with different time zones, when applicable

· Willing to travel internationally on a regular basis (25%).

· Bilingualism (French and English)
