Job Title: TIG Welder

Job Description

We are currently in search of an experienced TIG Welder to assist in the fabrication of metal enclosures for various research end uses. The ideal candidate should have significant experience working on light gauge stainless steel .048 - .120 thickness. The role involves working on cages and racks and requires strong attention to detail and quality as there will be no grinding or polishing of welds after completion. Tasks include equipment set-up and operation, layout of structural tubing, assembly and fabrication practices, and maintaining safe work habits. You will be expected to weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions, and also detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors. The role also requires the ability to lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly using various tools. You will need to analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Allentown, New Jersey.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position with working hours from 7:30 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. The selected candidate will have their own welding bay.
