Job Description:

TD Asset Management (TDAM), a member of TD Bank Financial Group, is a leading North American investment manager offering progressive investment solutions to both institutional and individual investors. In attaining this client commitment, TDAM has built one of Canada’s largest and most respected investment management and research teams with more than 220 Portfolio Managers, Associate Portfolio Managers, Traders and Analysts.

About the Role

The Associate, Institutional Marketing will be part of the Investment Proposals & Solutions Support team which supports TD Global Investment Solutions and TDAM National Accounts. The team is responsible for preparing requests for proposal (RFP) and providing due diligence information for institutional and intermediary clients.

In this role, the Associate will be specifically responsible for the following:

  • Prepare responses to written inquiries and questionnaires while managing project timelines

  • Create investment language used, and help to maintain content library

  • Review consultant and industry databases for accuracy and completeness

  • Proofread and provide overall quality assurance of electronic and print materials

  • Build relationships with subject matter experts within the investment team and operational groups

  • Maintain investment data files

In completing these activities, the Associate will be required to exercise judgment in interpreting requests, identifying appropriate content, and creating comprehensive responses. As such, the Associate will need to develop relationships with subject-matter experts across various internal teams – investment management, global distribution, operational groups, and control partners.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience

  • 2+ years of financial marketing or other relevant experience

  • Attention to detail and accuracy; strong editorial and grammatical skills

  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft 365 (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Understanding of financial markets and products

  • Ability to work well under deadlines and multi-task

  • Strong initiative combined with good interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully with a team

  • Experience with industry databases (eVestment, InvestConnect) would be an asset

  • Experience with content management systems (Qvidian, Seismic) would be an asset

  • Experience with analytical and investment management software (FactSet, APX) would be an asset

  • French language fluency would be an asset

Specific Educational requirements/accreditations:

  • University degree required

  • Completion of Level 1 CFA would be an asset
