Position Summary
We are looking for a Coffee & Accessory Category Manager based out of our Montreal office reporting directly to the B2C Marketing Manager. This role will act as the coffee category manager for all coffee, accessories under Original line & Vertuo. This role will act as the leader of the product & positioning strategy for both OL & VL and will be responsible of the short & long term marketing strategy. This person will be responsible of the analysis of the business and recommend key actions to ensure the growth of the business as well as the forecasting for all coffees and accessories. Additionally, this role will act as the lead for all the projects development, new product & promotions launches and will be a key player with all the transversal teams.
A day in the life of a Coffee & Accessory Category Manager:
Business Intelligence & Forecasting Lead & Management:
Lead forecasting process with cross-functional teams (finance, supply, channels)
Provide & develop business intelligence & insights to the yearly forecast and present to the management committee teams
Provide & present to the management committee the insights & feedbacks to the monthly highlights reports
Present recommendation & lead all action plans across channels from long-term perspective to short-term close-the-gap initiatives.
Coffee & Accessory Category management:
Ensure efficiency and streamline coffee and accessory portfolios. Define opportunities for future growth, positioning the Canadian market as a strategic & innovative pioneer.
Lead activations to fight untaped consumption opportunities in Canada with existing portfolio and needed innovations.
Lead the construction of the activity plan with baseline and promotional activities based on key strategic parameters and KPIS worked in collaboration with CRM team, finance & channels. Suggests activation programs & specific launches in local.
Lead the construction and implementation of marketing campaigns with all touchpoints, from HQ to local initiatives, ensuring unique and impactful 360 campaigns.
Lead the promotional strategy based on CRM KPIs to boost consumption, frequency & activity rate. Drive innovation within our promotional model with new segmentation strategy, GWP improvements & communication reinvention.
Analyze program/activation/launches performance for continuous improvement.
Plan and optimize all communication stream by ensuring proper communication calendar and follow up with KPI and analysis to make recommendation for changes in order to improve KPIs and ensure growth of the business.
Project Management:
Lead all aspects of a given project; briefs, workback schedule, team meetings, deliverables follow-ups, etc.
Ensure project deadlines are met and follow up with sales channels, agencies and other partners.
Contribute to other added-value projects such as gifting sets, engraving or local activation, etc.
Budget Management:
Recommend annual budget & key strategic pillars on ROI & investment
Lead on budget accuracy
People Management:
Manage 4 collaborators & establish the appropriate organization in line with the operational plan and guidelines
Recruit, develop, motivate and manage a team to deliver superior performance and results
Manage and comply with the HR and Line Manager’s Planning Cycle
What will make you successful?
8-10 years of experience in both marketing strategy, product strategies & management, in premium or luxury consumer goods
Understanding of the Food & Beverage market
P&L management
Strong mastery of product development & management.
Lead strategic planning such as business reviews, marketing plans & local programs
Budget lead & management (over 10M$)
