Volt is hiring for a remote Senior Financial Analyst in Santa Monica, CA.

As a Senior Financial Analyst you will be:

supporting the Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Forecast and Monthly Close processes and ongoing partnership with various support function leaders to optimize efficiencies, while ensuring we are maintaining flexibility and supporting the strategic objectives. Key outputs include preparation and analysis of c-suite and senior leader reporting packages, coordinating data-gathering across the organization, and assessing risk and opportunity ranges for initiatives and guidance.

The Senior Financial Analyst position is a critical and highly visible role within the team that performs integrated companywide analysis and consolidation to support the executive leadership team and assists with the companywide planning and forecasting processes. Reporting to the Director, FP&A, this role will work to analyze, report and support the performance of the Corporate Support functions and specifically demonstrate a strong aptitude for interpreting, analyzing, and communicating complex business issues, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Problem solving, prioritization, and attention to detail are critical.

- Work with stakeholders across the business and the regions to plan for expenditures and headcount in the year ahead

- Load all necessary information into the Hyperion system

- Prepare AOP decks to relay all necessary information to stakeholders

Quarterly Forecast (30%) and intra-quarter trending

- Support the coordination of forecast inputs from various regions and business units, alignment of key assumptions and drivers

- Prepare forecast reporting files by building and updating Essbase data queries and relevant summarized views

- Perform variance analysis, and ensure an environment of no surprises for senior leadership

Monthly Close & Reconciliation (30%)

- Prepare and submit journal entries for accruals, reclasses, and allocations

- Analyze and reconcile actuals to forecast with clear understanding of variances

Process improvement (10%)

- Drive standardization and effective evolution of the company\'s Hyperion-based financial planning system to drive efficiencies and meet business needs

- Help automate standard processes and reporting to reduce reporting burden and increase sophistication and capacity for analysis

This is a full-time 6-month remote contract opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Education: Bachelor\'s degree

- Prior Experience: 4+ years accounting. finance experience, preferably at a publicly traded company

- Exceptional quantitative and financial modeling

- Ability to thrive and multitask in a rapidly evolving environment

- Able to work independently, with limited direction

- Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills

- Excellent interpersonal skills at coordinating and consolidating inputs across multiple functions

- The highest standards of accuracy and attention to detail in a dynamic, multitasking environment

- Outstanding organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

- Hyperion/Essbase experience preferred

- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

- Knowledge of general accounting and financial planning

Pluses

- Experience in video game, software, technology or entertainment industries

- Real passion for video games

Pay Rate: \$55.00-\$60.00/hr Depending on Experience
