Job Description:

Position Summary:

This position will be based out of the South Holland, Illinois yard. Our Driver Helpers ride with and assist the Delivery Driver on our local routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods) for restaurants, delicatessens, hospitals, schools, nursing homes, convenience stores, supermarkets and other foodservice outlets in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assists the driver in the safe and accurate delivery of the product to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

• Responds timely to management and others in regards to delivery information.

• Completes required paperwork in a timely manner.

• Requires accurate identification of product to ensure the correct product, in satisfactory condition, is located on the trailer/truck and unloaded at customer locations.
